The Liberty High School Sober Grad Program: Keeping Our Youth Safe

The Liberty High School Sober Grad Program provides graduating seniors with a safe, alcohol-free celebration on one of the most important nights of their lives. Coordinated by Betsy McFarland and a passionate team of local volunteers, the program creates unforgettable memories while protecting the next generation of leadership in our community.

We know how vital it is to support initiatives that keep our Fresno and Madera youth safe. That is why we chose to partner with this incredible program, ensuring that the Class of 2026 celebrated their achievements securely.

Celebrating Our 2026 Scholarship Winner: Titus Johnson

To find the right recipient for the Chevrolet Equinox, we established a rigorous, scholarship-style selection process. Graduating seniors were invited to submit an application, a 500-word essay, and two character reference letters detailing their goals and community involvement.

The response from Madera and Fresno students was absolutely inspiring. A panel of seven dedicated community members carefully reviewed every submission, looking for a student who demonstrated exceptional character, resilience, and leadership.

After much deliberation, Titus Johnson was selected as the official vehicle scholarship recipient! The grand announcement was made live during the Liberty High School Sober Grad event, sparking a wave of celebration among Titus’s family, friends, and peers.
