At Own A Car Fresno, we believe being part of the community means more than helping people find reliable transportation. It means supporting organizations that make a real difference in the lives of Central Valley families.
Recently, Own A Car Fresno was proud to partner with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Central Valley for the “Driving Change” community awareness event held at our dealership. The event brought together community members, MADD volunteers, and representatives from the California Highway Patrol to raise awareness about the devastating impact of impaired driving and the importance of keeping our roads safe.
Supporting a Mission That Matters
Every day, families across the country are affected by impaired driving crashes. MADD works tirelessly to support victims and survivors, advocate for stronger laws, educate communities, and help prevent future tragedies.
Through the Driving Change initiative, Own A Car Fresno committed to donating a portion of proceeds from vehicle sales to support MADD’s mission and help fund programs that promote safer roads throughout California and the Central Valley.

“We are honored to partner with MADD and support the incredible work they do for victims, families, and communities. If we can help raise awareness and contribute to making our roads safer, that’s a cause worth supporting.”
— Mahde Jawad, General Manager, Own A Car Fresno
Community Members Came Together
Guests attending the event had the opportunity to meet with MADD volunteers, learn more about impaired driving prevention efforts, and connect with California Highway Patrol representatives who shared valuable information about traffic safety and responsible driving.
The event served as a reminder that preventing impaired driving is a community responsibility. By working together, businesses, law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, and community members can help reduce preventable tragedies and save lives.
